Quick slider recipes that will make you ask for seconds

Bad green sliders

What do you need:

  • 20 Brussels sprouts, halved

  • 6 slices of bacon, cooked until crisp, then cut into squares

  • 1 chopped onion

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 cup brie cheese, diced

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 2 butter spoons

  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • Kosher salt and ground black pepper

Melt the butter in a medium skillet over medium heat and then cook the onions until tender, about 5 to 6 minutes. Add garlic, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, and chili powder to the skillet. Spice with salt and pepper. Continue cooking and stirring for 10 minutes and then remove from heat. Combine the olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl and then add the Brussels sprouts to the mixture. Cook the Brussels sprouts in the same skillet until tender, about 15 minutes. To assemble a slider, sandwich a piece of bacon and a square of brie cheese topped with onion jelly between 2 Brussels sprouts. Secure with a toothpick.

Beef sliders with beer and cheese

What do you need:

  • 12 pretzel buns

For the pie

  • 3/4 kilo of ground beef

  • 1 egg

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs

  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • Kosher salt and ground black pepper

For the sauce

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup of grated mozzarella

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 3/4 cup of beer

  • 3 tablespoons of butter

  • 3 tablespoons of flour

  • 2 tablespoons chopped chives

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • Pinch of cayenne

Combine the beef, egg, garlic, breadcrumbs, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce in a large bowl. Spice with salt and pepper. Shape into 12 small patties and place on a baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Bake in a preheated oven (400F) for 15 to 20 minutes or until cooked through. To make the sauce, melt the butter in a skillet and then add the flour. Add the beer and cook until it is reduced. Add the milk and bring to a simmer before adding the cheddar cheese, mozzarella, chives, mustard, and cayenne pepper. Spice with salt and pepper. Cook until mixture thickens. Spoon sauce over patties sandwiched between pretzel buns to make sliders.
