How to Organize Your Classic Car Restoration Shop

Is all the junk eating up all of your garage space and your classic cars withering outside in the sun, rain, and storm? Classic cars are prized possessions and aren’t meant to be out in the middle of piles of junk. Your car restoration garage needs to be organized and all things put in their proper places. Read on to find out how you will do it.

THE STEPS:

Sort items that can be reused. Throw out the broken stuff and sell the stuff you’ll never need. If you want to make some profit, you can also go for a garage sale.

Rearrange the things you want to keep. Keep things of similar use together. For example, put pneumatic tools in one place, air compressors in another place, etc.

Buy some plastic containers. You will need them. You will have to pack all the camping gear, craft vendors in them. Buy some beans in which you can enclose expensive items that are expensive and that are dangerous.

Redo the walls of your garage. Arrange some freestanding shelves or cabinets or stands where you can put some of the important auto restoration tools. Store heavy items on the bottom shelves and light tools on the top shelves. If your garage is small, please fix these shelves on all 3 walls of your garage.

Not just auto restoration tools, there are other things that are essential in a garage. Some of these are brooms, rakes, shovels, folding chairs, and other items on the walls of your garage.

Attach a few hooks to the ceiling of your garage. Hang bikes from these hooks. Attach the hooks near the sides of the walls and place the bikes on them in such a way that they deliver their classic cars.

Design a low platform so your classic cars can slide down if there’s a shortage of space. Don’t leave cars empty. You can fill them with some garage item to make the most of the space.

SOME ADVICES:

As you clean out your garage, empty it out completely. Place all garage equipment in the driveway. Clean garage equipment upside down and put it back in place.

Do not accumulate unnecessary things that you know you will never need. This will result in an unnecessary blockage of space.

Light up your garage well. You don’t want to work in a dingy place, do you?

Place a doormat near the doors of your classic cars. Wipe your feet on the mat every time you get in and out of your cars. Place another doormat outside your garage doors. Clean your feet well before entering your houses.

Never run car or other engines inside the garage.

Keep flammable things in a safe disposal.
