How to cover a tattoo – 3 ways to hide a tattoo without having to remove it

What if the tattoo you love needs to go away for a while? Did you think of a job interview or a trip to the grandmas house? Sometimes in life you don’t want to be the person with the tattoos and get attention. There are a few ways to cover up that ink in a jiffy with no pain to remove.

make-up

Foundation or foundation is probably the most obvious way to hide a tattoo without removing it. Many companies sell thicker forms of your regular makeup expressly to cover up tattoos. Many celebrities have covered their tattoos using this method for different acting roles. The biggest problem with makeup is that depending on where the tattoo is, it can be very inconvenient to wear makeup and it is often difficult to match exact skin tones.

Clothing

Clothing is another great option depending on where the tattoo is located. A long-sleeved, turtleneck sweater can save Thanksgiving dinner in a pinch. But hiding a tattoo with clothing is pretty limited considering the tattoo has to be in an area where clothing looks natural. The same turtleneck that saved Thanksgiving can ruin the summer.

Bandage

There are obvious problems with walking around covered in bandages, from the mummy pranks to the unruly heat. But a Band-Aid can cover some small tattoos. The real reason bandages don’t really work to cover tattoos is because they draw attention to the area. Seeing a poor kid working with bandages everywhere is usually more offensive than tattooed images.
