Soup

Imagine the scenario. It is a cold winter day. It’s below zero. You’re running home from school as a kid and as you walk through the door, your fingers feeling like they’re about to pop out, your mom says, “Sit down, I’ll make you a nice hot meal.” bowl of soup.” You just heard music to your ears. While it doesn’t necessarily have to be below freezing to enjoy a bowl of hot soup, there’s certainly nothing beats it when you feel like you’ve been living in the North Pole. And if you can’t decide what kind of soup to have to warm yourself up, this article offers some suggestions.

According to old mommy’s tales, this type of soup is not only good for warming up, but it’s also great if you have a cold. Of course, we are referring to the ever popular chicken soup or chicken noodle soup. An entire book could be written on this type of soup alone, but the basics are pretty simple. Homemade chicken soup is made from chicken broth and seasonings. You get the broth after cooking the chicken. After that, you can toss in whatever you like, including noodles, celery, and even whole pieces of chicken if you like. Of course, if you’re too lazy to cook, you always have Campbell’s Chicken Soup. You can get them in many varieties, including their Chunky Soups, which contain some nice chunks of chicken.

But chicken soup is not the be all and end all of soups. In fact, chicken soup has become so common that many people are dying for a change. Well, they don’t have to die too long because there are more than enough varieties of soups to keep even the pickiest of eaters happy.

A great soup to add things like small sausages and salami is split pea soup. Pea soup has a very thick consistency, unlike most other soups. If you are not a lover of vegetables, especially peas, this is probably not a soup you want to try, as it has a very different flavor. You probably don’t want to tackle creating this from scratch. Campbell’s has a very good split pea soup that you can then add your own salami or hotdogs to.

On the other hand, if you like vegetables, then a good vegetable soup is probably something you’ll enjoy. The great thing about these soups is that you can pretty much put anything you like in them, like celery, carrots, fava beans, and a host of other vegetables. A good vegetable soup can be a meal on its own.

And of course you have their mushroom soup, clam chowder, New England and Manhattan style, lentil soup, a Jewish favorite, tomato soup, which is great with rice, and even pumpkin soup.

Yes, there are plenty of soups to keep any soup lover more than happy.
