Diablo III Classes, Followers, and Location Updates

Diablo III amazes gamers all over the world. In fact, there are some pretty exciting new things in Diablo III that are enhanced by the amazing new graphics, art, and music.

At first, Blizzard, who developed Diablo III, didn’t want to duplicate any of the character classes from the first two games. However, Diablo III would not have the ability to survive with entirely new classes. So Blizzard made only a few changes to the class structures. The Barbarian is the only playable class character to have returned from the other games. However, the appearance of some of the other character classes is still a possibility in the future.

Yet another feature of Diablo III is the appearance of three unique followers (just like the henchman from Diablo II). Followers can bring a weapon this time along with two rings and a special item. The special item is exclusively available to each follower. You can bring only one follower at any given time, however, you can substitute followers if questlines are completed for a different follower’s allegiance.

The simple part about followers is that each can gain one of three spells or abilities of the player’s choosing at levels 5, 10, 15, and 20. There are a total of 12 abilities available to each follower. Here are some examples: Eirena the Enchantress, can get at Level 5 Disorient / Blunt Knock / Charm; at level 10 Decoy / Reflective Missiles / Motorized Armor; at level 15 Focused Mind / Amplify Damage / Reduced Stamina; at level 20 Energize / Energy Bomb / Guidance!

Another interesting feature of the game is the awesome monsters in Diablo III which include Beast, Ghoul, Activated Vessel, Ghostly Orbs, Crawling Torso, Dark Berserker, Walking Corpse, Dark Demon, Dark Vessel, Lamprey, Grotesque, Lamprey, Moon Clan Shaman, Moon clan warrior etc.

Diablo III’s new gameplay now allows for a ‘post-scene’ with corpses! The corpses of those you kill will now still be there even when the player moves on, so everyone can see the ruin you can cause.

Diablo III continues to take place in Sanctuary, but there are actually several more areas to discover. The original city of Tristam is now known as New Tristam. The newly formed Arreat Crater, The Lost City of Ureh, and Xiansai (the sorceress’s homeland) are also in the game along with many other locations.
