Chin Jab Vs Upper Cut Punch

In a couple of street fights I’ve been in, I used a jab to the chin and the other guy tried to hit me with a nasty hook punch. I bet you’re wondering which one of us won that fight. Both techniques can be very effective, but there can only be one winner.

Before I talk about who won that fight, I want to talk a bit about the chin jab and why don’t we hear a lot about it online? When I look on the Internet and especially YouTube, I see very little information about this spectacular technique.

This method, when done correctly, is deadly. The concept is to inflict trauma to the head and spine by pushing up with the palm of the hand directly under the attacker’s chin. This is a one-hit move, which if done correctly, the fight is over! If this move is executed in the correct way, your attacker will not get up.

There can only be two outcomes to a chin jab and one of them is that the assailant will pass out or break their neck. I know this doesn’t sound pretty, but in a real street fighting situation, you only have a few seconds for this to happen.

It’s amazing how the right mindset combined with devastating technique can literally save your life. From my personal experience, it is poor training that seems to kill many people on the streets. When someone becomes arrogant in a street fight, he is most likely the one who is going to fall and probably never get back up.

An arrogant, arrogant and angry person may have their adrenaline pumping, but their vision will cloud and pride will actually weaken them. That is why a disciplined mind is more powerful than one that cannot control itself. I realize that an angry person can be angry, but it can also make it easier for me to see their weakness and when I see it, I will use it to my advantage. Remember, the fight is already on the mind, even before it happens.

When exercising a palm strike at your chin attackers, make sure you are using the power of your legs, rather than your upper body. This technique is great to practice at home, and you can even build a device to hit the palm. Now to answer the question of who won that fight, the answer is that I did.

While it took him more than a few seconds to hit me with an uppercut, I had already attacked him with a palm punch to the side of his chin. I didn’t hit him with my palm with full force, because it could have killed him, so I made a decision.

This man was extremely angry, because his girlfriend was looking at me and I really don’t think his intention was to kill me. It’s a completely different scenario, if I can see that the person wants to kill me. In every situation you face, you will have to make that decision.
