How to Recover to Play Golf After a Frozen Shoulder Injury

If you have just recovered from a frozen shoulder and want to play golf again, please pay attention to this article carefully. A frozen shoulder condition can take more than a year to improve and requires the person to exercise every day. If the shoulder is not used for a long period of time, it will lose about five percent of its strength every day. For example, you may notice that in bodybuilders, if they miss their gym routine for more than two weeks, you may notice their muscle atrophy (wasting away) very quickly. The same applies to people suffering from frozen shoulder. It’s important, you always do your shoulder exercises.

Before doing any specific strengthening exercises, always warm up. Your muscles are like steel wires. If you do your stretches right away, the risk of damaging your muscles is very high because there is not enough blood circulation in the shoulder muscles and the stiffness of the muscle fibers can lead to higher stretching forces.

Warm up by applying a warm compress or taking a hot shower to the affected shoulder. This will help blood circulate to the area. Then stretch your shoulder muscles and don’t forget to do your neck muscles too. If you have enough time, do a brisk 5-10 minute jog in the fresh air to get more blood circulation and improve cellular metabolic chemical reactions in your body.

Doing all of this will have you playing golf again in no time!
