6 Dynamite Sources for Blog Post Ideas

One problem all bloggers eventually run into is coming up with ideas for our next blog post. If you do this long enough, it seems like everything will eventually cover up, right?

Not quite. There will always be something new to discuss depending on your niche. The key is to find ways to generate new blog post ideas without it being an excruciating process that you try to avoid.

There are many ways to keep new content ideas flowing. Here are 6 of them.

1. Google alerts. You can receive updates on specific keyword phrases directly to your Google inbox. They monitor content updates on the Internet and inform you about it.

You can choose what kind of alerts you want and how often Google sends them to you. The service is free and a great source of ideas.

2. Discussion forums. Hang out in 3 or 4 busy forums related to your blog topic and you’ll get lots of new ideas every day. I like the Warrior Forum for my internet marketing niche.

One idea is to look for busy threads and read them. These are the hot topics that could make for a great blog post of yours.

3. Other niche blogs. Subscribe to RSS feeds from other bloggers. You can see what’s on their mind and which posts get the most comments.

An easy way to write popular blog articles is to find a new way to present these topics in your own words. With millions of blogs online today, you’ll never run out of good blogs to check out.

4. Electronic publications. Subscribe to online newsletters. They are full of good ideas. Some of them archive back issues and you can check them out too. Even advertising that is run by ezine owners could be good article ideas.

5. Article directories. The major article directories have thousands of articles in them.

I think EzineArticles was the first to go through the million articles that were submitted to them. That’s a lot of article ideas and they’re all organized by category so they’re easy to find.
