Cruelty to animals in the name of science

Watching a video of a cat being experimented on in a University lab has made me sick. Animal cruelty comes in many different forms and the pain they endure strikes me to the core. Human suffering is more bearable because we can scream and scream and make ourselves heard but the animals are silenced because man does the worst he can with them. We wonder why God allows it, and yet why does something suffer?

My reincarnation and link with the Spirit of the Universe has made me aware of how wrong humanity is in its way of thinking and acting. Spirit is in control, however, and allows this to continue just as it allowed the development to occur that produced the Internet and all the other wonders of our time.

That doesn’t make it any easier for me to understand everything. Man is a master of invention and he always needs to discover the unknown. The facts are, however, that he alone ventures down the path of his predecessors and individually supports each other to create new science and make a point.

This is how it is when one studies a course at the University. Everything exposed in essays or conferences has to have a precedent. Those who have followed in the footsteps of knowledge are considered experts, while those who succeed them are their students.

Studying how animals behave under certain conditions helps scientists understand the function of nerves and organs in the body. We owe much to the creatures whose lives helped in this regard. The question is how much, if any, they suffer, and what if nothing was ever undertaken to learn about diseases and other things that we now depend on. Does that ease my pain watching a lab cat being tortured? Nope! and nothing about it ever will.
